Hot Appliances

Chip Fix is not suitable for use on hot appliances such as dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, stovetops, etc. For this purpose customers should use Nu-Porce Appliance Touch Up (12001, 12008, 12010). Refer to the appropriate section of the Customer Service Manual.

Nu-Porce Porcelain & Ceramic Tile Repair Kit

This product is essentially identical to Chip Fix, however this is only being sold to some accounts that already purchased it before we acquired the Nu-Porce line. Advise that the customer use Tile Guard Porcelain Chip Fix instead when possible. The Nu-Porce product does have more color options available, but most are not stocked in any quantity. Refer to the appropriate section of the Customer Service Manual. Porcelain Chip Fix and the Nu-Porce Repair Kit do have separate 2-part epoxy-based formulae. (Occasionally either product may use one of the other one’s components, but as a rule they are different.)

Tough as Tile: Tub and Tile Touch Up & Repair Kit

This was a DIY product that has been discontinued. Advise that the customer use Porcelain Chip Fix instead. Primary difference in application is that the product should stand for 5 minutes after being mixed, not 30 as for Chip Fix.
